Interim CEO Marc Winterhoff stated that the Gravity Touring expands Lucid’s reach into the vital SUV category, offering a mix of range, interior flexibility, and performance unmatched in its class.
Expanding the Gravity Lineup
The Gravity Touring builds on Lucid’s proprietary EV platform, sharing its architecture with the Gravity Grand Touring. It combines full-size SUV capability with mid-size dimensions, seating up to seven adults.
The vehicle uses Lucid’s high-efficiency battery and powertrain, enabling an NRCan-estimated range of up to 542 km from an 89kWh pack. Charging access spans Tesla Superchargers and Electrify Canada stations. With 1000V DC charging, it can reach speeds of up to 300 kW.
When paired with Tesla Superchargers, the SUV charges at up to 220 kW, enabled by Lucid’s proprietary rear motor drive unit boost charging system.
Performance and Driving Capabilities
With a dual-motor, all-wheel-drive configuration producing up to 560 hp, the Gravity Touring accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 4.2 seconds. Standard air suspension supports a smooth ride, while the optional Dynamic Handling Package offers enhanced agility.
Interior configurations include five- and seven-seat layouts, with up to 3,400 litres of cargo space. Buyers can choose from six exterior colors and wheel sizes ranging from 20 to 23 inches. The standard Stealth Appearance adds dark accents, while the optional Platinum Appearance introduces silver highlights.
Focus on User Experience
Lucid continues its design-forward approach with features carried over from the Grand Touring. These include the Clearview Cockpit, a curved 34-inch 6K OLED display that enhances driver visibility.
The Lucid UX 3.0 interface and OTA updates allow the vehicle’s software system to evolve long after purchase. Customers can also opt for DreamDrive 2 Pro, Lucid’s advanced driver-assistance system that uses 32 onboard sensors.
