We track 20 model portfolios on a daily basis of which 11 are focused exclusively on the AI hardware (semiconductor) sector (8) and the AI software (3) sector. Below is the latest news as of December 8th on some of the 54 constituents in those portfolios.

  1. Cloudflare (NET) has restored services after a firewall update caused a global outage, which was the second incident in under three weeks, raising concerns over digital infrastructure risk. Its stock was UP 2.44% on Monday.
  2. Recursion Pharmaceuticals (RXRX), an AI-focused drug discovery stock, was UP 2.34% Monday after reporting phase 1b/2 data on REC-4881 for familial adenomatous polyposis, an inherited genetic condition leading to the development of hundreds of thousands of noncancerous polyps in the colon and rectum.
  3. Nvidia (NVDA) shares were UP 1.72% on Monday after Semafor reported that the U.S. Commerce Dept will open up sales of its H200 GPUs to China, allowing China to receive some AI GPUs, but not the highest-end versions of Nvidia's offerings.
  4. ServiceNow (NOW) stock was DOWN 0.10% Monday on news that shareholders have approved a 5-for-1 split of the company’s common stock, which will begin trading on a split-adjusted basis on December 18, 2025.
  5. Synopsys (SNPS) was DOWN 0.22% on Monday with the news that it has been upgraded to Neutral from Underperform by Citi ahead of its Q4 results and outlook after the bell on Wednesday, maintaining that if Synopsys unveils a credible and beatable outlook for fiscal 2026, it could provide a catalyst for the stock.
  6. Salesforce (CRM) was DOWN 0.40% on Monday on the news that it is considering a rebrand, according to CEO Marc Benioff,so  saying  Salesforce may rename the company to reflect its focus on AI agents. Some products have already been rebranded under the Agentforce name. 
  7. Intel (INTC) was DOWN 2.68% on Monday with the announcement that it is collaborating with India's Tata Group to focus on consumer and enterprise hardware enablement, as well as semiconductor and systems manufacturing to support the Asian country's domestic semiconductor ecosystem and intends to explore manufacturing and packaging of Intel products for local markets at Tata Electronics’ upcoming Fab and Outsourced Semiconductor Assembly and Test facilities, and a collaboration for advanced packaging in India.
  8. Marvell (MRVL) was DOWN 7.0% on Monday with the news that Microsoft (MSFT) may shift its custom-chip work to Broadcom (AVGO), threatening a pillar of Marvell's hyperscaler strategy. If Broadcom lands Microsoft's business, it would represent a meaningful shift in supplier confidence at a time when cloud giants are reconsidering vendor concentration risks. Reports also suggest Marvell has been offering fee concessions to secure future Meta Platforms Inc. chip projects, underscoring competitive pressure rather than dominance.
