On March 5, 2025, General Dynamics (GD) increased its dividend by 5.63%, from $1.42 to $1.50 per share. The dividend is payable on May 9 to shareholders of record on April 11.

General Dynamics' contribution to my portfolio's projected annual dividend income will increase by $20.80 to $390.

I own 65 shares of the stock at an average cost of $105.53 per share. Following this increase, my yield on cost is 5.69% (General Dynamics' forward yield is 2.21% at $271.56 per share).

Since opening my position in March 2013, the stock has generated a total return of 193%, including $2,452.85 in dividend income. That's a splendid annualized rate of return of 13.7%.

General Dynamics became my portfolio's 1st Home Run stock in October 2014, when the stock doubled my original capital outlay.
