Earnings Season Buzz: Netflix Soars, Texas Instruments Stumbles

Now that we’re into the earnings season, we’ve got stuff to talk about besides the Fed. One biggie is Netflix (NFLX) which is blasting higher.
Looking at the daily you can see how it is approaching the underside of its long-broken ascending channel.
I didn’t realize Texas Instruments (TXN) was reporting this afternoon, but it did, and it’s down about seven dollars.
I mentioned during my tastylive show today (again, without knowing TXN was reporting) that if there was one and only one semi-company I had to short, it would be this one. One big reason is the failure of its multi-decade trendline, which is a far cry from the obscene behavior of, let’s say, NVDA and AMD.
