On Dec. 11, 2025, Broadcom (AVGO) increased its dividend by 10.17%, from 59 cents to 65 cents per share. The dividend is payable on Dec. 31 to shareholders of record on Dec. 22.

Broadcom's contribution to my portfolio's projected annual dividend income will increase by $15.60 to $169.

I own 65 shares of Broadcom at an average cost basis of $25.04 per share. Following this increase, my yield on cost is 10.38% (the stock's forward yield is 0.72% at $359.93 per share). 

Since I opened my position in December 2018, the stock has delivered a total return of 1,382%, including $721.93 in dividends. That's a spectacular annualized rate of return of 47.21%.

Broadcom became my portfolio's 39^th Home Run stock in October 2021 when it doubled my original capital outlay.
