Today very good numbers for job seekers boosted stocks and bonds. This is not an April's Fool item.

My pal F. Barry Nelson and co-authors Tracy Maitland and others from Advent have published a book on high yield stocks and global convertible ones, including unlisted convertibles. This is not a market for retail players but an strong argument for adding Advent positions for large accounts.

Today China pushed its iron ore price to an 8 month high to help pay for pricey oil and gas.

The big winners were from oil and gas production firms because the International Energy Authority is following the US next week with more current access to its energy reserves.

Winners

*Schlumberger Ltd SLB rose another 2.52% because finding oil and gas is now more easily funded with high prices.

*ABB gained 1.53%. 

*Azure Power jumped 3.28. AZRE.

*CGRIF was tops, up 9.17%.

*Cosan was up 2.02%. CSAN.

*ESTE rose 1.8%

*FCO was 2% higher.

*Grifols went up 2.51%. GRFS.

*Illumina gained 2.4%. ILMN.

*Lazard rose 1.6%. LAZ.

*MELI gained 4.019.

*Naspers rose 3.41%. NPSNY.

*Nintendo gained 2.9%. NTDOY.

*Canada's Nutrien jumped 2.25%. NTR.

*PROSY jumped 4.327%.

*Petrobras is 2% up. It was my most recent buy. PBR.

*Banco Santander is up 3.115. SAN.

*Sampo oyj is ahead 2.3%. SAXPY.

*VALE, sold too soon, is up 2.5%.

*VIR is up 1.81%.

*Vodafone is up .14%. VOD.

My biggest loser is Qualcomm, now 3.76% down after its merger. QCOM.
