The Market Gets Into Spring

Today Apple (AAPL) blasted off at the open and never looked back. And Apple wasn’t alone, every major market joined in on the party. The reason the market got boosted was most likely due to a positive economic report in the PMI Services Index beating expectations. This was welcome news after a long line of dreadful economic reports over the past few weeks.

This is of course the first full week of April, and in many eyes it’s also the first full week of Spring. And that means warmer weather, opening day in Major League Baseball, the Boston Marathon and an end to a dreadful winter. A positive economic report was just the catalyst needed to get the market humming again.

Tomorrow, Wednesday April 7th, there are no major economic reports on the docket, so nothing to ruin the party, so expect another strong day in the market.

Wednesday is another story, with the Fed releasing their minutes for the most recent policy meeting, but I think the market expects more of the same. So, barring any change in language, I would expect Wednesday to be another positive day in the market.

Apple Auto Trader

The Apple Auto Trader went long in two systems today, the DBOL and the MOAX. Both experiencing healthy gains. The OTW has been very quiet the past month or so. Learn more about the Apple Auto Trader here.

Ominous Divergences Building

With the small pullback we experienced over the past few days, and the new surge over the next few days, the markets are setting up into a major divergence between price and momentum in the long term charts. There is a substantial case building that points to a major market pullback, maybe even a significant correction in the near future. Check out my report here.

Apple Watch is Coming

Apple is expecting millions to buy their watch sight unseen on April 10th (preorders will be taken then), and they’re doing everything they can to educate you on the experience you should expect. The watch will be in stores and supposedly delivered to people that preorder it by April 24th. You can expect a huge number of apps available for the watch, as developers have been scrambling, putting their best people to work on the expected bonanza of app buyers.

All New Macs Coming

The new MacBook is certainly an awesome new addition to Apple’s laptop lineup, at just 2 lbs, the beautiful Retina display, and the all new Force Touch track pad, and now coming in Gold! This is pointing to a lot of new, and very exciting features for the rest of the MacBook lineup.

But the big news, well it’s still just a rumor…and that’s a new iMac with a super high resolution 8K display, later this year. It looks like the display will be made by LG, and hints to some serious partnering with LG. Perhaps we’ll be seeing an Apple TV Set very soon. Check out the story on AppleInsider.
