Opening Day: ZoomInfo Soars In First Tech IPO Of COVID Era

ZoomInfo soared in its debut on Thursday in the first tech initial public offering since the COVID-19 pandemic hit the world.

ZoomInfo (ZI) opened on June 4 at $40. The company had priced 44.5M shares at $21.00. The deal priced above the $19.00-$20.00 range. JPMorgan and Morgan Stanley acted as joint book running managers for the offering. ZoomInfo is a go-to-market intelligence platform for sales and marketing teams.

Warner Music (WMG) opened on June 3 at $27. The company had priced 75M shares at $25.00. The deal size was increased to 75M shares from 70M shares and the range was $23.00-$26.00. Morgan Stanley, Credit Suisse and Goldman Sachs acted as joint book running managers for the offering. Warner Music is the world’s third-largest record label.

Pliant Therapeutics (PLRX) opened on June 3 at $27.25. The company had priced 9M shares at $16.00. The deal priced at the high end of the $14.00-$16.00 range. Citi, Cowen and Piper Sandler acted as joint book running managers for the offering. Pliant Therapeutics is a clinical stage biopharmaceutical company focused on discovering and developing novel therapies for the treatment of fibrosis.

Shift4 Payments (FOUR) opened on June 5 at $33.10. The company had priced 15M shares at $23.00. The deal size was increased from 14M to 15M shares and priced above the target $19-$21 range. Citi, Credit Suisse and Goldman Sachs acted as joint book running managers for the offering. Shift4 Payments provides secure payment processing solutions and serves merchants ranging from SMBs to large enterprises.

Legend Biotech (LEGN) opened on June 5 at $37. The company had priced 18.425M shares at $23.00, above the $18.00-$20.00 range. Morgan Stanley, JPMorgan and Jefferies acted as joint book running managers for the offering. The stock opened at $37 per share. Legend is a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company engaged in the discovery and development of novel cell therapies for oncology and other indications.

Dada Nexus (DADA) opened on June 5 at $18.30. The company had priced 20M shares at $16.00. The deal size was increased to 20M shares of common stock from 16.5M shares of common stock and priced within the $15.00-$17.00 range. Goldman Sachs, BofA and Jefferies acted as joint book running managers for the offering. Dada Nexus operates JD-Daojia, one of China’s largest local on-demand retail platforms for retailers and brand owners, and Dada Now, a local on-demand delivery platform.

Applied Molecular Transport (AMTI) opened on June 5 at $26. The company had priced 11M shares at $14.00. The deal size was increased to 11M shares from 10M shares and priced at the high-end of the $12.00-$14.00. BofA, Jefferies and SVB Leerink acted as joint book running managers for the offering. Applied Molecular is a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company investigating a pipeline of novel oral biologic product candidates to treat autoimmune, inflammatory, metabolic, and other diseases.

Calliditas Therapeutics (CALT) opened on June 5 at $19.90. The company had priced 9.2M shares at $19.50. The deal size was increased to 9.2M shares from 7.6M shares. Citi, Jefferies and Stifel acted as joint book running managers for the offering. Calliditas Therapeutics AB is a specialty pharmaceutical company based in Stockholm, Sweden focused on developing pharmaceutical products for patients with a significant unmet medical need in niche indications. Calliditas common shares are currently listed on Nasdaq Stockholm under the symbol CALTX and Calliditas intends to maintain the listing on Nasdaq Stockholm.

  • Applied Molecular finished its first trading day at $17.98.
  • Calliditas ended the week at $19.60 after opening at $19.90.
