Asian markets traded mixed on Tuesday, following overnight gains on Wall Street.
US stock market ended higher on Monday, led by gains in technology stocks.

At present, the BSE Sensex is trading 65 points higher, and the NSE Nifty is trading 27 points higher.
Bharat Elec, Adani Ports, and SBI are among the top gainers today.
Tata Motors, Axis Bank, and ITC, on the other hand, are among the top losers today.
The BSE Midcap index is trading 0.2% higher, and the BSE Smallcap index is trading 0.4% higher.
Barring the metal sector, all other sectoral indices are trading mixed today, with stocks in the realty sector and auto sector witnessing selling pressure. Meanwhile, stocks in the metal sector and the IT sector witnessed buying.
The rupee is trading at Rs 88.6 against the US dollar.
IRFC Signs Massive Thermal Power Deals
The Indian Railway Finance Corporation (IRFC) has signed two major loan agreements worth ?164.8 billion (bn) to support upcoming supercritical thermal power projects in Haryana and Maharashtra.
A Rs 592.9 bn loan was signed with Haryana Power Generation Corporation Ltd. (HPGCL) to fund an 800 MW unit at the Deenbandhu Chhotu Ram Thermal Power Plant in Yamunanagar. This will enhance Haryana's power capacity using high-efficiency technology.
Separately, IRFC extended Rs 105.6 bn to Maharashtra State Power Generation Company Ltd. (MAHAGENCO) for the 2x660 MW expansion of the Koradi Thermal Power Station in Nagpur, replacing old units and adding 1,320 MW of cleaner capacity.
Both projects are closely linked with Indian Railways through coal transport agreements, contributing significantly to rail freight revenue and supporting electricity needs for railway operations.
IRFC's funding highlights its key role in strengthening India's energy and rail infrastructure.
BEL Secures Major Defence Deal
Bharat Electronics (BEL) announced that it had secured Rs 10.9 bn in new orders.
According to a regulatory filing, the state-run aerospace and defence electronics company received significant orders for upgrades to its EW system, defence network, tank subsystems, TR modules, communication equipment, EVM, spare parts, and services, among other things.
Orders totalling Rs 7.1 bn for IT infrastructure and cybersecurity solutions, ESM systems, blockchain solution platforms, communication equipment, etc., were received by the PSU on 16 September 2025.
Tata Steel to Cut Emissions Significantly
Tata Steel's Netherlands operation plans to significantly reduce emissions, with a project cost of approximately Rs 27.2 bn.
According to a press release from the Climate Ministry, the investment is anticipated to be between Rs 360 bn and 585 bn with the state contributing up to Rs 180 bn.
According to a statement released, the Indian conglomerate's Dutch subsidiary, Tata Steel Nederland, signed a joint letter of intent with the government as a first step towards binding agreements on investments to improve the living environment for residents, reduce health risks, and significantly reduce CO2 emissions.
Reducing emissions from steel production by over 40% is one goal. The plan has not yet been finalised, and the signing of a climate agreement will determine the final costs. A portion of the project will also be funded by Tata Steel, which has applied for Rs 31.2 bn from the EU Innovation Fund.
