Asian stocks started the week on a cautious note as traders navigate deteriorating China-Japan relations, a heavy slate of central bank decisions, and the broader outlook for risk assets heading into next year.
The U.S. stock market rose to the edge of its all-time high on Friday.

At present, the BSE Sensex is trading 197 points lower, and the NSE Nifty is trading 61 points lower.
Tech Mahindra, Infosys, and TCS are among the top gainers today.
Baja Finance, Bharat Elec, and NTPC the other hand, are among the top losers today.
The BSE Midcap index is trading 0.1% lower, and the BSE Smallcap index is trading 0.2% lower.
Sectoral indices are trading mixed today, with stocks in the auto and realty sectors witnessing selling pressure. Meanwhile, stocks in the metal and media sector witnessed.
The rupee is trading at Rs 89.7 against the US dollar.
Dynamatic Dassault Partnership for Falcon Fuselage
Dynamatic Technologies has signed a new agreement with Dassault Aviation to manufacture the complete rear fuselage (Section 5) of the Falcon 6X business jet.
This new contract builds on Dynamatic's existing work for the Falcon 6X program. The company has already industrialized the rear fuel tank and begun commercial deliveries to Dassault.
With this expanded mandate, Dynamatic deepens its position within Dassault's supply chain while advancing the Make in India initiative by boosting domestic aerospace production. The two firms have been collaborating on flight-critical aerostructures since January 2024.
Dassault highlighted Dynamatic's reliability as a partner, noting that the agreement will contribute to the continued success of the Falcon 6X, recognized for its long range, cabin comfort and advanced technology. Dynamatic Technologies develops high-precision products across automotive, aeronautics, hydraulics and security sectors, with design and manufacturing operations in India, the UK and Germany.
HFCL Secures Major Optical Fiber Exports
HFCL Ltd, a leading telecom equipment manufacturer, announced on December 6 that it has secured export orders worth Rs 6.5 bn for the supply of optical fiber cables.
The orders were placed through the company's overseas wholly owned subsidiary by an international client.
As per the disclosure, the agreement follows standard contract conditions and requires HFCL to supply optical fiber cables tailored to the customer's specifications.
The execution of these orders is scheduled to continue until November 2026.

NBCC Achieves Major Revenue Boost Milestone
NBCC (India) Limited, a Navratna CPSE under the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, has completed the sale of 175 residential units in Iconic Tower No. 13 at Aspire Leisure Valley Pkg-1, Greater Noida (West), Uttar Pradesh. The sales, valued at approximately Rs 4.8 billion (bn), mark a notable increase in the company's revenue and reflect their strong position in the real estate sector.
The transaction was carried out as part of NBCC's normal business operations, demonstrating consistent demand for its residential projects and the company's ability to deliver and market large-scale developments effectively.
This revenue is expected to strengthen NBCC's current assets and could have a positive impact on its financial performance in the upcoming quarters.
The successful sale of an entire tower also highlights the strong demand for residential properties in the National Capital Region and reinforces NBCC's reputation for efficient project execution.
As the company continues to expand its real estate footprint, such milestones may further enhance investor confidence and support market performance.
