Sensex Today Trades Flat; Tata Steel & Adani Ports Top Losers
Asian markets traded higher on Monday, following a Wall Street rally, on increased hopes of an interest rate cut by the US Federal Reserve.
US stock market ended higher on Friday, but all three of the major indexes posted weekly losses amid concerns over lofty technology valuations.

At present, the BSE Sensex is trading 23 points higher, and the NSE Nifty is trading 13 points higher.
Tech Mahindra, Infosys, and HCL Tech are among the top gainers today.
Bharat Elec, M&M, and Power Grid Corp the other hand, are among the top losers today.
The BSE Midcap index is trading 0.1% higher, and the BSE Smallcap index is trading 0.1% lower.
Sectoral indices are trading mixed today, with stocks in the realty sector and the power sector witnessing selling pressure. Meanwhile, stocks in the metal and media sectors witnessed buying.
The rupee is trading at Rs 88.6 against the US dollar.
RVNL Secures Major Lucknow Upgrade Project
State-owned Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd (RVNL) announced on Friday that it has become the lowest bidder for a Northern Railway project.
The project involves designing, supplying, installing, testing, and starting up modified overhead electrical equipment and feeder wires for a 2x25 kV traction system.
This work is meant to upgrade capacity on the UTR-MWP section, covering 184 route km (368 track km) in the Lucknow division of the North Eastern Railway.
The project will be carried out as part of RVNL's regular business and is expected to be finished in 24 months. The total cost is Rs 1.8 billion (bn), including taxes.
Once completed, it will help boost the capacity and efficiency of the Northern Railway network.
Tata Power Invests in Bhutan Hydropower
Tata Power has partnered with Bhutan's Druk Green Power Corporation (DGPC) to develop the 1,125 MW Dorjilung hydropower project. The project will be set up through a special company in which DGPC will own 60% and Tata Power 40%.
Built on the Kurichhu river in Mongar, it will have six units and provide clean power with six-hour storage for peak demand.
Tata Power will invest around Rs 15.7 bn, while the total project cost is Rs 131 bn, making Dorjilung Bhutan's second-largest hydro project and its biggest public-private partnership in the sector.
About 80% of the power will be supplied to India, while also strengthening Bhutan's energy security. The project is expected to be completed by September 2031 and will become an associate company of Tata Power.
The Dorjilung project follows earlier collaborations such as the Dagachhu hydropower project (Tata Power holds 26% stake) and the ongoing 600 MW Horlacher project (40% stake)
Supported by the World Bank, this project builds on Tata Power's earlier partnerships in Bhutan and moves both countries closer to their clean-energy goals.

Tata Chemicals Plans Major Capacity Expansion
Tata Chemicals on Friday announced that its board has approved a total investment of ?910 crore to expand production at its plants in Mithapur (Gujarat) and Cuddalore (Tamil Nadu).
The company will invest Rs 1.3 bn to increase dense soda ash production at the Mithapur plant.
Additionally, Rs 7.7 bn will be spent to expand the precipitated silica manufacturing capacity at the Cuddalore plant.
