Sensex Today Trades Flat; Nifty Above 25,450

Asian markets traded lower on Monday amid much confusion as US officials flagged a delay on tariffs but failed to provide any details.

US stock market was closed on Friday on the eve of the US Independence Day holiday.

At present, the BSE Sensex is trading 11 points higher and NSE Nifty is trading 5 points higher.

HUL, Asian Paints, and Reliance Industries are among the top gainers today.

Bhart Elec, HCL Tech, and ICICI Bank, on the other hand, are among the top losers today.

The BSE Midcap index is trading 0.1% higher and the BSE Smallcap index is trading 0.h2h% higher.

Sectoral indices are trading mixed today, with stocks in the power sector and realty sector witnessing buying. Meanwhile, stocks in the IT sector and the telecommunication sector witness selling pressure.

The rupee is trading at Rs 85.4 against the US dollar.

RVNL Bags Order from South Railway

RVNL has received a Rs 1.4 billion (bn) contract from South Central Railway for upgrading the electric traction system in Salem division.

The project involves upgrading the electric traction system to enhance capacity, allowing Southern Railway to meet its target of 3,000 MT loading.

The project is expected to be finished in 24 months and will cost Rs 1.4 bn.

The business was the lowest bidder for a Rs 2.1 bn order from South Central Railway on June 30. Despite a weak FY25 performance, the state-run company reaffirmed in May its revenue guidance of Rs 200 bn to Rs 220 bn for the current fiscal year.

BEML Wins Major Export Deal Abroad

BEML Ltds has received two major export orders valued at Rs 0.5 bn from countries in Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) region, including Uzbekistan.

This represents yet another significant turning point in its strategic plan to expand its global presence in the export of mining and defence equipment.

A BEML Ltd. statement claims that the company has received two separate orders, one of which is from a CIS country for the delivery of ten of its heavy-duty bulldozers, which are specifically designed to function in extremely cold climates with temperatures as low as -50°C.

the second order from Uzbekistan includes One unit of the high-performance Motor Grader, which is necessary for road maintenance and infrastructure development in mining operations.

The company's chairman and managing director said this order showcases BEML's increasing global competitiveness and commitment to delivering high-quality equipment to meet the evolving needs of international clients.
 

IndusInd Bank's Advances Decline Sharply in Q1

IndusInd Bank Limited, a private sector bank, announced that net advances as of June 30, 2025, had decreased 3.9% year over year (YoY) Rs 3,344.7 bn from Rs 3,478.9 bn the previous year. As of 31 March 2025, net advances decreased 3.1% sequentially from Rs 3,450.2 bn.

Its advances dropped 14.4% YoY, and 6.2% quarter-over-quarter (QoQ. Consumer banking grew 4.8% YoY but declined 0.9% sequentially. Total deposits were Rs 3,970 bn down 0.3% YoY and 3.3% QoQ.

Bank's CASA ratio declined to 31.5% as of 30 June 2025, from 32.8% in March 2025 and 36.7% a year ago. Retail and small business deposits slightly decreased to Rs 1,850 bn. The bank's liquidity coverage ratio (LCR) stood at Rs 145.3% as of June 2025, with quarterly average of 141.3%.
