Waaree Energies Invests in Lithium Cell Plant

Waaree Energies Limited, a domestic producer of solar modules, announced that it had invested Rs 3 bn through a rights issue in Waaree Energy Storage Solutions Private Limited (WESSPL), its wholly owned subsidiary.

According to the company, the funds will be utilised to establish a manufacturing facility for lithium-ion advanced chemistry storage cells. WESSPL is completely in line with Waaree's primary company and is a part of the renewable energy sector.
