Sensex Today Rallies 575 Points; Nifty Above 25,300
After opening the day higher, the benchmark indices continued their upward momentum, ended the session in green.
Indian equity market indices Sensex and Nifty settled higher on Wednesday, lifted by global optimism and a decline in crude oil prices.
At the closing bell, the BSE Sensex closed higher by 575 points (up 0.7%).
Meanwhile, the NSE Nifty closed 178 points higher (up 0.7%).
Bajaj Finance, Asian Paints, and Trent are among the top gainers today.
Infosys, Tata Motors, and Axis Bank, on the other hand, were among the top losers today.
The GIFT Nifty was trading at 25,428, higher by 233 points at the time of writing.
The BSE MidCap index ended 1% higher, and the BSE SmallCap index ended 0.7% higher.
Sectoral indices are trading positively today, with stocks in the realty sector and the telecommunication sector witnessing buying.
The rupee is trading at Rs 88.7 against the US$.
Gold prices for the latest contract on MCX are trading 0.6% higher at Rs 127,037 per 10 grams.
Meanwhile, silver prices were trading 1% higher at Rs 161,148 per 1 kg.
Thyrocare Q2 Results & Dividend Announcement
In the news from pharma sector, shares of Thyrocare Technologies came into focus following a strong September quarter (Q2FY26) financial performance.
Driven by sustained momentum in the Pathology segment, which grew 24% year over year, the company's consolidated revenue stood at Rs 2.2 billion (bn), up 22% year over year (Y-o-Y).
As a result of increased operating leverage, cost reductions, and a better business mix, normalised EBITDA increased 49% year over year to Rs 0.7 bn.
Profit After Tax increased 82% year over year to Rs 0.5 bn demonstrating the company's emphasis on profitable expansion.
While the EBITDA margin was at 33%, the gross margin was still a healthy 72%. With net cash and short-term investments exceeding Rs 1.9 bn, Thyrocare continues to maintain a solid balance sheet and is debt-free on a consolidated basis.
An interim dividend of Rs 7 per equity share (pre-bonus face value of Rs 10 each) has been announced by the Board. 24 October 2025 is the record date for the interim dividend payment.
Sula Vineyards Q2 Results
Moving on to the news from FMCG sector, shares of Sula Vineyards came into focus after the company reported its September quarter (Q2FY26) financial performance.
Sula Vineyards reported a 1.1% fall in net revenue to Rs 139.7 crore in Q2 FY26 as against Rs 1.4 bn recorded in Q2 FY25.
Due to Telangana's route-to-market disruption brought on by the retail licence expiring on November 25, revenue from the company's own brands fell 2.5% year-over-year (YoY) to Rs 124.1 crore in Q2 FY26. Own brands had modest single-digit growth outside of Telangana.
Despite a muted macro environment, Sula reported consistent revenue in Q2 FY26.
Sula Vineyards' wine tourism revenue rose to Rs 0.1 bn in Q2 FY26, a 7.7% increase driven by more visitors, higher occupancy, and increased spending. The launch of The Haven by Sula resort also contributed to this growth.
A 9.3% decline in operating revenue to Rs 1.1 bn in Q1 FY26 over Q1 FY25 caused the wine producer's consolidated net profit to plummet 86.7% to Rs 0.02 bn.
Keystone Realtors Promoters Sell Stake
Moving on to the news from realty sector, shares of Keystone Realtors announced plan to sell up to 3.63% of the company's equity through an Offer for Sale (OFS).
The indicative offer size is valued at up to Rs 2.5 bn. The OFS comprises up to 4,576,000 shares, translating to approximately 3.63% of Keystone Realtors' total equity.
The floor price has been set at Rs 550 per share.
Keystone Realtors is confident about its dominance in redevelopment projects, having achieved over 25% of its annual pre-sales target in the first quarter, typically the slowest period, said Chairman of the company.
Keystone Realtors has locked in projects worth over Rs 77 bn, exceeding its full-year target of Rs 60 bn. The company has launched projects worth nearly Rs 40 bn in Q1 FY26 and will focus on Mumbai and MMR. It plans to launch a Rs 10 bn project in Nagpur this year or early FY27, marking its small-scale entry into the city.
