Nifty Above 26,000; Sensex Today Trades Higher

Asian markets traded lower on Tuesday as investors watched out for a meeting between the US President Donald Trump and the new Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi.

US stock market ended higher on Monday, with Wall Street's main indexes posting record closing highs for the second day in a row, on hopes of a US-China trade deal and widely expected Fed rate cut.

At present, the BSE Sensex is trading 152 points higher, and the NSE Nifty is trading 58 points higher.

SBI, Adani Ports, and Tata Steel are among the top gainers today.

ICICI Bank, Bharat Elec, and UltraTech Cement, on the other hand, are among the top losers today.

The BSE Midcap index is trading 0.3% higher, and the BSE Smallcap index is trading 0.4% higher.

Sectoral indices are mixed today, with stocks in the auto sector and the metal sector witnessing buying. Meanwhile, stocks in realty sector and consumer durable witnessed selling pressure.

The rupee is trading at Rs 87.6 against the US dollar.
 

Mazagon Dock Q2 Results

Shares of Mazagon Dock came into focus after the company reported its Q2 FY26 results.

According to a regulatory filing, the company's revenue from operations climbed 6.3% year over year to Rs 29.3 billion (bn) from Rs 27.5 bn the previous year.

EBITDA increased 36.1% to Rs 6.9 bn from Rs 5.1 bn in the previous year. Due to improved cost control and operating leverage, the company's operating margin increased from 18.5% to 23.7%.

The company reported a 28.1% increase in consolidated net profit to Rs 7.4 bn for the quarter ending 30 September 2025, compared to Rs 5.8 bn for the same period last year.

During the quarter, the board of directors declared an interim dividend of Rs 6 per share.

The company has set 4 November 2025 as the record date for the dividend. The payment of the same shall be completed on or before 26 November 2025.
 

Indus Towers Q2 Results

Shares of Indus Tower came into focus after the company reported its Q2 FY26 results.

Revenue for Q2 rose 9.7% to Rs 81.8 bn from Rs 74.6 bn year-on-year.

While the EBITDA margin shrank to 56.3% from 65.7% year over year, EBITDA fell 6% to Rs 46.1 bn from Rs 49.1 bn in Q2 of last year.

On an annual basis, Indus Towers' Return on Equity (Pre-Tax) improved from 38.4% to 38.9%.

In comparison to the same time last year, the Return on Equity (Post-Tax) stayed steady at 29.0%.

Additionally, return on capital employed increased from 22.9% YoY to 26.3%.

The company reported net profit of Rs 18.4 bn, a 17.3% decrease from Rs 22.2 bn during the same period last year.

Indus Towers' MD and CEO, Prachur Sah, reported that Indus Towers planned entry into Africa is a key step for long-term growth. The company will use automation and AI to boost efficiency, scale operations, and improve service quality helping ensure sustainable growth and value for shareholders.

RVNL Shares in Focus After Railway Project Win

Shares of Rail Vikas Nigam (RVNL) came into focus following the company's victory as the lowest bidder for the Northeastern Railway project.

According to the company's release, the contract is for the construction of a bridge substructure with a double D type well foundation for a double line with RDSO 25 T Axel loading standard over the river Gandak between Paniyahwa and Valmikinagar station.

This work is part of the Northeastern Railway's Gorakhpur Cantt-Valmikinagar section's doubling project.

The project will be completed in 24 months and will cost Rs 1.6 bn.

Last week, the company became the lowest bidder in a reverse auction held by South Central Railway for a project involving the design, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of an upgraded overhead electrification (OHE) system.
