Today's Barchart Chart of the Day is a little bit different because it is the WilderHill Clean Energy ETF (PBW). I decided to add ETFs to Chart of the Day rotation not only because so many of you invest in ETFs but also since I've found Barchart's Top 100 ETFs to be a very reliable screener. I found this ETF by sorting Barchart's Top 100 ETFs list first by the most frequent number of new highs in the last month, then used the Flipchart feature to review the charts for consistent price appreciation.Since the Trend Spotter signaled a buy in 11/11 the ETF gained 25.07%.
The Invesco WilderHill Clean Energy ETF is based on the WilderHill Clean Energy Index. The Fund will normally invest at least 90% of its total assets in common stocks that comprise the Index. The Index is composed of stocks of companies that are publicly traded in the United States and engaged in the business of advancement of cleaner energy and conservation. The Fund and the Index are rebalanced and reconstituted quarterly.
