Elon Fires Board, Is Now Sole Director

Welcome to the last day (I hope) of the “Elon Channel,” where it’s “All Elon, All The Time.” I simply could not resist this latest news nugget. According to a securities filing, Elon has fired all nine members of the Twitter board and has named himself sole director. According to the filing, firing everyone was always his plan.

Can he (or anyone) run Twitter solo? So far, the platform is still running and doesn’t seem to be much different (other than some extremely annoying tweets from Elon himself).

Mr. Musk is in the process of overhauling the entirety of Twitter. What will be left? For $44 billion, you better believe something will be left. However, there’s a more important question: Will you care?

I need more of you (with and without blue checkmarks) to reply and tell me if you’re planning to pay $20/month to keep your verified user status. It’s admittedly armchair research, but I’m morbidly curious.

With his latest moves (including that insane deleted tweet), Elon has leveled up to “batshit crazy.” (Previously, this was the highest attainable level, but we may need to invent other ways to describe what’s happening.)
