Coronavirus Sparks New Clash Between Big Corn & Big Oil Lobbies. The Corn & Ethanol Report

The Oil refining industry and its backers have asked the Trump administration to help the industry weather the pandemic by reducing regulatory requirements to blend billions of gallons of Corn based Ethanol in Gasoline, arguing the costs the facilities cannot currently absorb. While the Corn Lobby has been pushing for blending requirements mandated by the Renewable Fuel Standard (RFS) to help Corn Farmers while they see their demand for their crop drop swiftly as biofuels facilities across the country go idle

This is not the first argument between these two important industries of Agriculture and Oil it shows how sensitive these battles become, especially when you’re in it for survival. This is where we roll up our sleeves and get Free Enterprise rolling again. We need the private sector and government to have ingenuity to get through this dilemma. Don’t get me wrong, we need to be careful with this virus. And we achieved so much in such a short time, we do not want this enemy to get a second wind. A TV show from the 80’s Hill Street Blues opening scene had first responders at roll call and at the end of the power points the line was, “Let’s get to work…And above all else Be Careful Out There”.
