Cannabis Central: Non-Penny Pot Stock Index Went UP 7.0% On Friday With A 68.7% Advance By Aurora

The Non-Penny Pot Stock Index (NPSI) had its greatest increase in value in the past year on Friday going UP 7.0% in large part due to a whopping 68.7% gain by Aurora. 30 of the 38 constituents advanced, 2 had no change in price and 6 declined with all but one of the 9 industry categories advancing. Here are the details.

With the major increase in the sector on Friday the number of constituents in Cannabis Central's proprietary Non-Penny Pot Stock Index (NPSI) increased by two to 38 with the addition of Harvest Health (HRVSF) and XPhyto Therapeutics (XPHYF) which are now trading above US$1/share.

The Biggest Winners: 

On Wednesday no constituents advanced above 5% and on Thursday only 8 did but on Friday there was a complete turnaround with 23 constituents advancing by 5% or more, namely:

Nine other stocks had either No Change in price (2) or modest gains of less than 5%.

The Biggest Losers:

On Wednesday 15 constituents declined in excess of 5%, on Thursday only 2 did and on Friday none did so.

    • This category consists of companies focused on developing and selling personal consumption devices for cannabis consumers such as vape pens and inhalers.
    • There are 3 NPSI constituents within this category (AYRSFGNLNPYX) and they went UP 7.7%, on average.
  5. Agricultural Technology Category:
    • This category consists of companies focused on providing automated growing systems, greenhouses, farming products, nutrients, hydroponics, fertilization systems, horticultural expertise, LED/lighting technologies, air filtration systems, and climate control and energy efficiency systems.
    • There are 2 NPSI constituents within this category (GRWGVFF) and they went DOWN 2.2%.

    • This category covers companies that provide delivery services, enterprise software, e-commerce platforms, communication and mapping services, and trading platforms and companies that provide marijuana-related media including news, content, social networks, games, and entertainment.
    • There is only 1 NPSI constituent in this category (KERN) and it went UP 3.0%.

    • This category consists of companies that produce and sell hemp products.
    • There is only 1 NPSI constituent in this category (CWBHF) and it went UP 5.5%.
