5 Powerful Books To Hack Your Life For Success

Recently over lunch, a friend asked me which book was my favorite all time? I told him that a book which I loved was The Power of One by Bryce Courtenay. He pushed and asked me for my top five books on success.

Here is my list, in no particular order. They're a collective of my favorites on success right now. I hope you enjoy them as much as I have.

The War of Art by Steven Pressfield

If you've ever had to do anything in your life on a deadline, you will love this book. Pressfield doesn't take himself too seriously. He takes the act of writing very seriously. In the book, he breaks down how to push yourself out of procrastination.

Driving your creativity with consistent and driving will. You'll enjoy that your pain is shared. You'll also love how easy it is to be both entertained and educated.

Perennial Seller by Ryan Holiday

This is a new release from a new favorite author, Ryan Holiday. Similar to Pressfield, Holiday tackles how creatives can create cult followings like the band Iron Maiden. He also addresses a bit of his talent with media manipulation that he's shared in previous books.

Main lesson? Seek deep connection with your fans and followers and reap the benefits for a very long time.

Mastery by Robert Greene

I just completed Greene's collaboration with Rapper, 50 Cent. I enjoyed it but enjoyed Mastery better. Maybe this is more of an author recommendation? I'm a Robert Greene fan. You'll enjoy his books.

Deep Work by Cal Newport

I joke with my wife that I'd be happy working in a sensory deprivation pod. I love the act of getting into a flow and creating. I've gotten much better at it over the years. Newport will help you understand why you need to get into a state of deep work.

Man's Search for Meaning by Viktor Frankl

If you're having a hard time with anything in your life. Read this book. Then pass it on to someone in your life who may be having a hard time. If you can't see the joy in your life after reading it, you may not be human. One of the most elegant, and beautiful books of all time.

Happy reading.
